Ahmad Kilani

Director

Ahmad is a CFA qualified and well diversified finance professional with an overall experience of more than 20 years in finance, investment banking and corporate finance, in regional and local firms, and experiences among sectors of energy, real estate, trading, manufacturing, construction, education and tourism. Throughout his career, Ahmad managed several transactions including IPO’s, mergers and acquisitions, private placements, restructuring and equity valuations. He is currently the CEO of Tabarak Investment. In addition, Ahmad currently serves as Managing Director and a Board Member at Gulf Navigation, a board member in Drake & Scull International PJSC and a member of the Board of Trustees of Al Ain University.

Ali Abouda

Director

Ali has an extensive experience in finance, investment strategy, and value creation planning. He has more than 22 years of international experience leading all aspects of finance functions to realize organizational goals. Ali is the Group CFO at Gulf Navigation Holding PJSC and leads the firm’s finance function & strategy. He has a wealth of experience in organization transformation, capital restructure and process & performance improvement. He has covered many finance projects in the Middles East, Europe and the UK. His sector expertise covers Oil & Gas, maritime & transportation, telecommunication and investment.

Prior to joining Gulf Nav, Ali worked as Finance Director for P&O Maritime Logistics and Topaz Energy & Marine at DP WORLD and spent more than a decade with Schlumberger in various managerial roles. He also assumed consulting roles with Deloitte & Touche at a global scale.

Tarun Kumar

Director

Tarun currently serves as Managing Director of Scorpio Marine Management India and also as the Vice President Operations for Scorpio Tankers. Mr. Kumar joined the company in early 2009 and has since served as Managing Director. Prior to joining Scorpio, he served as General Manager with Teekay Tankers from 2007 to 2009 and before that with OMI Corp from 2004 to 2007. Tarun has been in merchant shipping since 1989 and has sailed on various types of ships, with majority of his sailing career spanning on board oil tankers. He is a qualified Master Mariner from UK and took over command of a ship in late 2001.

Ugo Romano

Director

Ugo currently serves as Managing Director of Scorpio MENA in Dubai. He also serves as a board director at MSEA Equity Partners I and II, Clean Sea Holdings and Elafonisos Holdings Corp. Mr. Romano joined the company in 2013 and has since served as Managing Director.

Throughout his career Ugo contributed with his work on commercial and business development in top tier global shipping institutions spanning across Rome, London, New York, Dubai. In 2007 Ugo co-founded (Partner, Commercial Director) Navig8 Group, a leader in Oil, Chemical tanker, Bulk Carrier, bunker trading and management. Ugo holds a Master in Business and Administration, a Master degree in Shipping, Trade and Finance and a BA in Maritime and Transport Economics.

Ankur Khedekar

Managing Director

Ankur has been in the maritime sector for close to 30 years, out of which 15 years have been ashore. He joined Scorpio in 2004 as a sailing Chief Mate and took his command in 2006. He stepped ashore to work as a Marine Superintendent in the Scorpio Monaco office in 2008. Thereafter he has served in various positions within the company’s Technical Management set up as Safety Manager, Fleet Manager , DPA , CSO , General manager – Technical, till he took charge of the crewing department in Feb 2020.

Prior to Scorpio he has sailed in various ranks in V.Ships, Selandia and the Shipping Corporation of India on crude/product tankers, bulk carriers and general cargo ships. Ankur is also on the board of FOSMA (Foreign Owners Representatives and Ship Managers Association ) and is a member of the governing council of Training Ship Rahaman, a shore-based training institute.
